"Thanks for the encouragement."

Great feedback from a reader that I wanted to share.

"Hey i have a habit of checking the comments before seeing the pictures and i still remember seeing those 'Get a life/come out of the closet'....although they were never ever directed towards me...but those were very helpful.....i can't believe that India has so many homosexuals and my own neighborhood is filled with more than 5 men ........it was because of your comments that i finally came out of the closet at-least online and found many friends in Real life and from my neighborhood thank you so much
Next step : coming out to close friends and family.....
i was addicted to ur blog coz i had no relationships or people i can love.....i used to visit it like 10 times a day ...
now i visit it 1ce in a week.....(sorry that u r losing hits)....coz i have real friends with real feelings"

Wow, I'm so happy for you! Everyone says it's mean to say those things I've said under comments, but to me, it's just the cold hard truth that needs to be faced. Being a closet case just hurts everyone in the long run and what you've done is what I wish all the gay men reading this blog would do, but unfortunately most
just don't have the courage to do it.

Anyway, I'm really happy that you're making positive goals like coming out to close friends and family. If you're still in school, I recommend finishing it and getting a job and then when those things are dealt with, talk to your parents. You may want to come out to siblings and/or close friends before you tell your parents, but you can be the judge of that. I don't know your friends and it's different with different people. Initially, some people might be confused or shocked, but if they love you, they'll come around. When I come out, my parents took some time to adjust, but now we're closer than ever. My siblings had no problem. And having a support system helps. If you have any questions or want to talk, feel free to email and one of us will respond. This goes for everyone else reading this.

And yes, there are tons of homosexuals in India. According to the Blogger panel, the vast majority of the hits the blog gets is in India and the rest are mostly from the South Asian diaspora living in other countries. Homosexuals are everywhere. Even in the west, gay men lie and it's even worse in Asian countries like India (how many gay Indian men still call themselves "straight" or "bisexual"? GTFO.) And lastly, nobody who works on this blog cares about hits. In fact, I'm glad you're over the addiction. It's pathetic and unhealthy to be visiting a blog so many times (hey, our resident "coolie" loving Caribbean troll, are you reading?) Real friends and relationships are important, not fake ones on (or with) the Internet. I wish the best for you.
